The room that our little dreamer finds herself in every night is one that has developed its own character over the last year and a half. The excitement that overcame us when we knew she was coming led us to attacking the room with all guns blazing, trying to put as much as we could into it. After a while however we opted for the less is more approach. Trying to keep it simple yet stylish was our main aim, as well as of course making it comfortable and welcoming for little Ella.

The new Ani and Trio nursery linen is just what the room needed to set it off. The set avoids the overuse of the 1 million different shades of pink so often found in a baby girl’s room. Its use of subtle, simple and stylish combinations really keeps in with the theme of the room. Some family pieces were added to the room including a restored lamp and beautiful antique dressing table which blended perfectly with her new sleigh cot and a great bird on a branch wall decal found on Etsy. The piles of books and toys picked up all over the world seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Come to think of it so is she. It won’t be long now until the cot is removed and a little bed is in its place. A different theme and a new range of Ani and Trio linen to match, hopefully the room will change with Ella and reflect all the stages of a little girls life.
