day 45: a pretty good lunchChristmas Fare, Ruth Pretty Style10 November 2011One of the things I love the most about Christmas is planning the food. Pouring over food blogs, seeing what my favourite recipe books have up for offer. So as part of our Christmas Countdown we are going to bring you a few menu suggestions, comprising of recipes from some of our all time chefs. First up, Ruth Pretty. I’ve had the honour of doing one of the cooking school classes at Springfield, and since then, I have been besotted with Ruth Pretty recipes, particularly if I’m in the mood for seafood, or something decently sweet. Hence the fact this menu suggestion includes both. It’s light up front, but has a beautiful rich finish.
