I am yet to find an app that is more adorable than this one!  The problem I often have with kids apps is that they are poorly illustrated.  The functionality of an app might be good, but if it doesn't appeal visually, the kids (or their parents) aren't likely to engage with it.  That is why I was so excited to find the gorgeous Little Fox Music Box.  The landscapes and characters were created by Oscar nominated designer Heidi Wittlinger.  Right from the start page, it is clear this one will captivate.

Little Fox Music Box is basically three songs and a music studio where you can create your own music.  This description is entirely unfair however, as there are over 100 interactive features to tap and explore.  Here is a run-down of just some of the crazy antics you'll encounter:

Song 1, London Bridge
A motorboat bathtub, a submarine taxi, a pirate ship with a pooping parrot, photo snapping tourists, a London bus with a high diving alligator and the fox hiding in the tower windows.

Song 2, Evening Song
Hidden bedtime story reading bears, exploding stars, northern lights, bats, a rolling hedgehog, campfire hogs and the fox riding a gondola.

Song 3, Old MacDonald
A bathing pig, a sleeping Old MacDonald, tractor driving pigs, growing flowers, a dancing farmhouse, acrobatic chicks and the fox dressed up as a sheep.  The Old MacDonald song can be viewed in four different seasons.  The same farm, the same characters, watch what happens when the weather changes!

Available on both iPhone and iPad for $4,.19 this app breathes new life into old classics.  The only gripe I have is that there are only 3 songs!  Hopefully more will be added soon.  In the meantime you might want to check out Nighty Night by the same developer, the starter version is free!
