I don’t know about you, but for me Little Golden Books bring back fond childhood memories – I don’t know if I read a children’s book that wasn’t of the Little Golden variety when I was young!

Well now Auckland's Ruby in the Dust is taking ‘vintage’ Little Golden Books and making them into spiral bound journals using blank pages salvaged from a printers off-cuts. The original pages of the book are randomly inserted throughout the journal, including the title page which has been converted into a little pouch for all of your notes and bits of paper.

We think they’d make a gorgeous gift for mums, who will reminisce fondly about the books, and can use them for all of those little notes, reminders, recipes and play date phone numbers we seem to collect, and also for the little ones who will delight in finding the book pages as they doodle their way through the journal.
