E Soule PhotographyCreating a wonderland8 October 2009Letting The Horses Loose is the newest series from Portland photographer Elizabeth Soule. It features charming, curious and sometimes ethereal images of one of nature's most beautiful creatures. This image is mounted on a wooden frame, the boxes are made with archival care and stained dark walnut. Each image is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper with Epson archival inks. The image has been mounted, UV protected and coated in a thin layer of wax-like archival sealant. Available in 5"x5"x2", 6"x6"x2" and 8"x8"x2" box sizes. The Little Zoo series was created to capture the whimsical, quirky and imaginative personality of toy animals. The composition of each photograph was devised to cause the viewer to question whether the image depicts a real animal or a miniature replica. Each photograph was made using a Polaroid SX-70 camera, to mimic the toy-like quality and instant gratification that these animals evoke. Great on its own or with other Little Zoo creatures, these framed photographs are ready to hang or sit and stack on a shelf. The E. Soule Little Zoo and Letting the Horses Loose series are priced between RRP $99 AUD and $139 AUD and are available online at www.kidostore.com. Via The Wonderland |
