The Yunginz Story…

The Yunginz brand came to fruition in 2007 when Jenny Celebrin got frustrated with not being able to purchase trendy shoes in small sizes for her daughter. Fashionable shoes for children seemed to be available only from a size 12 and upwards so the challenge was on!

Jenny approached Yolanda about the idea and Yolanda was also up for the challenge, so they combined their skills and Yunginz was born.

After a national market research exercise was conducted through a reputable agency, it was confirmed there is definitely a gap in the market when it comes to the availability of smaller sized shoes which are not only cosmetically appealing, shoes which provide the comfort and support a child’s foot need without paying a hefty price.

Whilst Jenny decided to quit her job in April ’07 and focus full time on the business, Yolanda has also worked tirelessly into the wee hours, whilst still maintaining her successful design studio.

Catering for boys and girls aged between approximately 1-6 years, Yunginz shoes are quality made, using leather where applicable as opposed to PU, and our price points are very competitive, ranging from $34.95 through to $99.95 AUD. Obtaining crucial initial advice from a podiatrist enabled Yunginz to not only create fashionable footwear, but also cater for a child’s growing foot with such inclusions as arch support, heel/ankle support, cushioned inner soles and toe reinforcement where applicable.

Yunginz designs are the result of many hours of team work, dedication and re-drawing of designs until perfect. There are many European looking shoes out there in the Australian market but Yunginz styles have been designed with the Australian lifestyle in mind, which assists in creating that unique point of difference in the childrens footwear market.

The team behind the brand want all young boys and girls to look cool in Yunginz shoes, and are extremely proud to be able to fill the gap in the market and assist those other parents who have also struggled to find stylish shoes for their small children.

The Gladette ($79.95 AUD)

Adorable black leather sandal with wide side opening for ease of putting foot into the shoe.  Soft suede inner lining and ample strapping to support the foot, including double adjustable velcro straps at ankle area. Style carries all the fashionable elements of a typical gladiator sandal and little girls will just adore the antique style love heart eyelets down the front section of the sandal – oh so cute!

The Beach Babe ($59.95 AUD)

The young child who wears this will be the envy of the older girls and even their mums! Made with faded black denim fabric on the outer, and soft felt inner lining. Zipper at the back heel, so once you’ve set the lace at the front to the right adjustment there’s no need to tie and untie each time, simply zip up and down at the back. Pretty antique brass starfish features at the front, with antique brass eyelets around the ankle supporting the feature pink lace up.

The Classic Teardrop ($79.95 AUD)

Here’s one for more formal occasions such as flower girls, christenings, holy communions etc, or it can be dressed down to create a more casual look. Strong white leather with scalloped edging and inner leather lining. Diagonal strap with old style dome button, keeping the child’s foot in the shoe and alleviating any toe-grabbing whilst walking. A classic style shoe with teardrop shaped cutouts at the side, and beautiful white bow at front which results in a simple yet elegant design for little girls.

The Sparkly Speckles ($49.95 AUD)

Girls casual canvas with adjustable velcro strapping, preventing toe-grabbing whilst trying to hold the shoe on when walking. Simple design, yet elegant with pink fabric, metallic grey trim and silver sparkles on outer of shoe. Comfortable cotton terry towelling inner creating a soft effect around the upper of the foot. As with all Yunginz™ designs this style has all the standard quality elements such as arch support, cushioned inner sole, heel support and toe reinforcement.

The Button Drill ($59.95 AUD)

Who said boys sandals had to be boring! We’ve created a hot new style whilst still keeping a strong "boyish" look and feel using subtle accessories by way of small dome buttons, mixed with black and terracotta coloured leather and durable drill fabric. Inner arch support.

The Skull Canvas ($49.95 AUD)

A versatile shoe for day or night during the Summer months. Boys will love the strong canvas fabric with skull design. A black shoe with a hint of red and white is certain to be a hit! Let’s not forget the cotton terry towelling inner lining which provides the ultimate in softness against the child's foot.
