The perfect highchair!

I will not admit what number highchair I am up to. I have had two children, and far more than two highchairs. It’s not an obsession, it’s just that I haven’t yet found the perfect highchair. I should have said, I HADN’T yet found the perfect highchair.

While on holiday over Christmas I borrowed a friend’s highchair for my son at their house. I really did like the highchair I had, the only problem with it is that the little wriggler would not stay still in it for even a few seconds, much preferring to try and climb or launch himself out of it. I assumed this was due to his more mischievous side (something he certainly does have), but on borrowing said highchair I discovered that for some reason he just sat still in this one, even lounged comfortably, happily hanging out beyond mealtime even. Was it coincidence? Was he just on his best behaviour at someone else’s house? I had to find out. So, the old highchair has been traded. I jumped online as soon as I returned from holiday and ordered the Designer High Chair from Mocka.

The verdict? He continues to sit still, weeks later. Still lounging comfortably in it during meal times, it’s a clear winner in the highchair stakes out of what has been and gone in this house. The seat is quite deep, and obviously comfortable which is what keeps him happy and in. He is 16 months now, so a smaller baby might need a cushion insert to be comfortable as it is generously sized, but this is available from Mocka also.

Being a very simple contemporary design and plain white it fits the décor as I’m sure it would fit almost any décor, and it wipes clean unbelievably well.
