Mountain Buggy 2010Life Without Limit20 December 2009We all wondered what would happen with Mountain Buggy after being taken over by phil&ted's... and the result is a 'rationalized' range, now consisting of 3 buggies - the Swift, the Urban Jungle and the Duo. So, if you're like us, the first thing you're going to ask is 'what's the difference?'. Well, they've narrowed the wheel base to make them easier to get through doorways, the canopies now have 'flick out visors' for added UV protection, the bumper bar now comes as stock standard rather than an additional extra, and they've changed their carrycot. And of course, they're now made at phil&ted's facilities in China. We're guessing the popular model is going to be the Urban Jungle, being the closest in style to the old ever-popular and greatly sort after Urban Elite. The Urban Jungle is available in six colors and has been well priced with an RRP of $699 NZD. From our perspective, we're just happy that Mountain Buggy, the kiwi icon, is staying alive and kicking as an NZ based company, no matter where they are now made. We can't wait to check these babies out in person. |
