We recently had the honor of trialing a number of baby carriers and slings for our winter magazine (if you haven’t read it already, make sure you check it out!). I’m a big fan of carrying my little one on my hip – it’s where both she and I are most comfortable and it seems the most natural for us. And it’s one of the reasons I have fallen in love with the Ramalama Infant Carrier.

Designed for babies around the 5 month mark onwards, and up to 20kgs, the Ramalama is an easy to use, comfortable and stylish baby carrier that allows an infant to be carried on either hip, without excessive strain on the carrier’s back and arms.

From a simplicity of use perspective, it’s one of the easiest we’ve come across – simply clip around the waist, put your baby into position and then pull the fabric up and clip over the shoulder. It also rolls up into a small carry bag that fits easily into the nappy bag.

The leather options are simply exquisite – soft high quality leather with suede lining – and there is also a less expensive canvas and cotton option.
